Kats Corner

Australian Skateboarder Kat Williams in South America

I’m at the airport in Johannesburg – South Africa, headed home after my second Kimberly Diamond Cup South Africa trip. I’m tired I’m dirty I’m hungry and about to board a plan to Perth. It’s been a crazy adventure, a week and a half felt like a month. I have met some incredible people, some very inspiring people and had so much fun in the mean time. On reflection, I think it’s not about the destination but the journey along the way, the people you meet and the things you do. Going on trips reminds me of when your a kid and you skate all day in the sun with your friends eat food hang out, there’s nothing else you would be rather doing in the world. I think female skateboarding is changing and its exciting, I cant wait to see what’s going to happen in the next 5 years. So if it’s going to your local, out in the streets filming, or just rolling to the shops HAVE FUN, and always allow yourself to experience everything you can, one door will always open the next.
